UNCONVENTIONAL PROCESS OF DRAWING A FACE USING GREY MARKERS

Getting started with drawing is always a challenge. Too many rules to follow and sometimes you just want to get started without having to know all the rules.

This happens more often when drawing faces or a likeness of a person.

In this video I will discuss how to use an unconventional way to create a drawing by interpreting pictures as just a combination of high contrast shapes. In this example, I took one of my favorite movie characters, the Joker played by the awesome late Heath Ledger. (still sad he passed away). If you start to look at features of an object, such as a person, and break them down to shapes and patterns. you can “graphically” draw any object or scene.

Drawing can be fun and sometimes removing the rules and just starting off with a few techniques, can help you improve your drawing skills.
