Freehand Sketching a Mercedes
This Freehand sketch of a Mercedes was created using a somewhat “dry” sharpie marker. The dry marker is not completely saturated so it allows you to sort of fade out your lines and have a more dynamic look to your drawings. Dynamism in sketching can be characterized in several ways from thick to thin lines, high contrast areas, or a forced perspective.
Hope you enjoy the demo and let me know what you think in the comments below!
Sketch Notes:
1. Sharpie Marker(dry)
2. Laser Paper
3. Layout the proportions first using a 2.5 length Wheel Base. Be sure to project the ellipses out in space
4. Work quickly using fast and quick strokes.
5. Try to use some reference photos to get a feel for the Mercedes design
