Sometimes it’s easier to create form “swatches” which are just small samples of “painted” random forms to explore form language. When drawing a car, form swatches can help with “happy accidents.” Happy accidents usually occur when you don’t really intend to find something interesting or purposeful. It sort of happens as a result of finding something unique out of the drawing exercise. With dilligent practice, you can remove the intimidation factor of drawing an entire car and just focus on form exploration.
