DIGITAL PAINTING: TRAINS IN THE SUNSET

Remember what I said earlier? Probably not…that’s why I’ll have to remind you! You don’t always have to draw cars.  You have to switch it up a little and try to draw as many different objects or subject matter.  In this example I will run through a quick tutorial on how to use reference photographs to paint a train from pure observation.

Things to consider when watching the video:

1.  Graphical shapes of the image

2.  Color Distribution

3.  Value distribution

4.  Textures
