CAR SKETCH DEMO – CLASSIC CAR FRONT 3/4 VIEW
This video demo will walk you through the process of drawing a classic race car in the front 3/4 view by using a photo reference.
These demos are designed to give you quick and to the point drawing techniques that you can practice immediately. I will provide you with the processes needed to complete the sketch, along with some cheat sheets for you to download. You will be able to use these techniques as practice for your own sketches.
CLASSIC EDITION DEMO CONTENTS: 30 MIN DURATION
STEP 1 BREAKING DOWN SHAPES –
This step involves looking at your photo reference and break the car into “objects” so that you can simplify what you see.
STEP 2 INDICATING DETAILS
Once you have completed and understood the idea behind observing the basic shapes, this stage will involve adding the details to the basic shapes.
STEP 3 LINE WEIGHT EMPHASIS
In this stage, we will look into line weight emphasis. I will go through the process of adding line weight through the entire car to help the pop the images out of the page
STEP 4 DETAILING AND FINISHING TOUCHES
This will be the final stage. I will start laying out details such as the graphics and start to define the form a little further and bring the drawing to completion.
